This lovely light fawn coloured flour is milled from whole brown rice grains which are certified organic and grown without chemicals. Nothing is added and nothing is taken away from this wholesome and natural whole food. It retains all the nutrients found in the essential oils of the germ, as well as vital fibre of the husk or bran. Brown rice flour has a pleasantly mild nutty aroma and flavour similar to regular wheat 'wholemeal' flour. This is in fact a great gluten free wholemeal all purpose flour you can use to replace wheat flours partially or completely in many recipes for baked goods, breads, biscuits, pizza bases, sweet or savoury short crust pastry, puddings or used as a thickener for soups and stews.
